This is one of my newest acrylic ink wash pieces, and like most watercolor like pieces I have this one printed on Hahnemühle Bamboo paper for its nice watercolor paper texture. The colors of this piece are vibrant and bright but it makes a striking statement.
It is a piece I made thinking about progress of all things. The way we rush right into the jaws of whatever life sets before us and fight until we can fight no longer. It wasn't a battle that came to my mind thinking of this but rather the end... that moment that you either win or fail. Either way you find yourself a little more broken and on the ground. I don't know about everyone else but I make mistakes, lots of them. I blunder in my steps along the way and sometimes realizing those mistakes is hard. As far as I know I have come, I still need a moment to accept the mistakes I make. The people that can be hurt in the effort of progress, both friends and foes. I wanted this piece to be similar to an older piece of mine, Caged wings. Like a show of different parts of a journey, and the way things change. Before a battle and after one.
I now have a framed option for this piece that comes with a classic black frame. A gallery styled look that goes with any decor, without the hassle of having to find a frame on your own.
I offer this print in two different sizes:
