When you work a side job at a zoo you see a lot of peacocks, peahens, and feathers. They are beautiful and shiny birds, and they most certainly know it. This was the first painting I did after I got my part time job working at the local zoo. An acrylic ink piece that was inspired by, what else, Peacocks! I was thinking of how I would paint one of these showy birds that would be as bold as the real thing and this is what I came up with. A Peacock’s Form in all its glory. Sometimes art doesn’t have an long winded reason or source other than admiring what is right in front of you and taking every opportunity to be inspired by it.
This piece is an 11in. x 14in. and the original art is currently for sale for $400, framed.
