The human figure, face, and aspect are beautiful. In all of its diversity, all of its uniqueness I find it mesmerizing. Eyes of every shade, hair from coppery reds to raven blacks, and skins. Skins can be the deep tans, freckled alabaster, or rich dark tones and all of them are striking and beautiful. Every human has their own unique combination of these traits and if you bother to look closely I’m sure you would see it. I don’t know what other people see when they look at someone else but all I can think when I see someone is which angle would I draw them ? What color would best highlight their cheeks? How would I express your eyes, your hair? Your lips in their slightly unique shape of color… I know I’m not normal, how could I be? I don’t know where normal would begin, or how anyone can think that they are normal when the world is so chaotic. People? People are just as chaotic and strange and I love it. People are one of the most beautiful creatures in the world, and when I see them they inspire me to work. To paint, to create. This piece is watercolor but it was made with my passion, my passion about the human face. I’ve met some who weren’t as fond of this piece but every time I look into those striking eyes I am filled with immense satisfaction. I am proud to post it with my works.
This piece is one of those that I was tempted to keep but after some deliberation I decided it was best to share, and this 11in. x 14in. original work is framed and currently for sale for $320. For those with an interest in this piece you can contact me through any of my social media or through this site. If you have any other questions or thoughts to share feel free to do so. Thank you for reading- Arie M.
