This piece is a collection of deeper thoughts and is my own way of showing the process of thinking… So to give you a better idea of how this started I was thinking of how much I love illustrations. How the best ones hold secret impressions and are creative genius in showing what the words capture. Strange, sure, but with any good story you paint a picture. So what if I was trying to illustrate my story? What if the man was a part of my fascination with growth and his portrait was to show how my art has changed. The tiger a piece of my amazement with creatures and animals in the past. Now if you dig deeper you see twisting nature and fading clarity.
What everyone sees is the scenery and the characters at the front of the scene. I wonder how many people see the memories held within the shadows of those scenes. How many people know the truth of what others don’t see. Confusing, well I’m not trying to be. This piece is about layers so- Dig Deeper. Think of what could be right in font of you hidden in the light or the dark in the acrylic ink and colored pencil. Then again…. art is in the eye of the beholder and it means what a person decides it means. This is just what I see and I do have a bit of an advantage in knowing where to look. What you see gives it value, and to make you stop for even a moment is more of a success to me than you can ever know. I can’t say if anyone will bother to read this far but if you did then that means that I am one step closer to my goal. The next step- make you feel something. (Maybe even buy something… well we can hope right?) This is a multimedia piece of 24in. x 18in. and this unique original is currently for sale for $700.
